NU build uses precision engineering and the very latest in modular construction techniques and technology, enabling us to deliver high quality homes, indistinguishable from traditionally built homes when complete.
Sustainability and Environmental Benefits of cross laminated timer, or CLT for short:
- Significant reduction in waste from our factory and site. We are even using off-cuts of CLT to heat our factory!
- Building in CLT will ensure our buildings will be zero carbon for the first year and a half of their existence
- CLT is a fantastic thermally efficient material
- Buildings made using CLT are acoustically efficient – vastly improving noise reduction
- With CLT, construction vehicle movements are reduced, lessening pollution
